Abstract
In 2023, domestic tourist numbers saw a remarkable increase of 93.3% compared to the previous year. As the public’s interest shifts beyond mere appreciation of natural landscapes, the integration of culture and tourism has become a prominent trend. Zhaoqing, Guangdong, is not only endowed with exceptional natural tourism resources but also boasts a rich historical and cultural heritage. By employing space syntax software, this study analyzes the aggregation and integration coefficients of Zhaoqing’s historical and cultural block. Based on these findings and the actual development of the area, we propose a series of optimization strategies aimed at enhancing the historical and cultural blocks of Zhaoqing. The goal is to provide valuable insights for the future development of the city’s cultural and tourism sectors.
