Abstract

This paper examines the role of regional cultural elements in urban public furniture, focusing on how these elements are conveyed and integrated into the design. It highlights the value of infusing regional culture into urban public furniture, analyzing key aspects such as cultural symbols, furniture functions, color materials, and form composition. Through the use of design case studies, the paper explores various strategies for incorporating regional culture into the design of urban public furniture. The implementation of regional culture in urban furniture design can be achieved through methods such as showcasing cultural symbols, optimizing functional modular elements, upgrading interactive interfaces, repurposing historical objects, and refining commemorative cultural elements. The goal is to create a harmonious blend of functionality, aesthetics, and regional culture, ensuring that these elements are organically integrated into the urban landscape.
