Abstract
The research object for this study was the population aged 60 and above. The theoretical model was developed using the Theory of Health Action Process Approach, Theory of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, the Bystrom & Jarvelin Model, and Theory of Use and Satisfaction. The study found that information acquisition intentions are strongly influenced by social identity, knowledge acquisition and self-realization, and self-efficacy; information access intentions have a considerable favorable impact on both information acquisition behaviors and action plans. Action plans has a mediating effect between information acquisition intentions and information acquisition behaviors.
