Abstract
This article focuses on the correlation between body language and musical expression in choir conducting. Firstly, it elaborates on the current development status and importance of choir art, followed by an overview of the definition, classification, and role of choir conductor's body language. It explores the connotation and elements of musical expression, including its definition, characteristics, and the impact of various elements on it. It thoroughly analyzes the correlation between body language and music rhythm, melody, harmony, and emotional expression. It demonstrates the positive effects of commanding body language through successful cases, analyzes the reasons for mismatches in problem cases, and proposes improvement measures. Finally, it summarizes the research conclusions, emphasizes the value of body language, points out shortcoming.
