Abstract
Promoting the all-round development of students is the essential connotation of education. As an important part of modern education, the value pursuit of students' all-round development has become increasingly prominent. Educational evaluation has the role of a baton, which is directly related to the development of students and the quality of the whole basic education. Value-added evaluation is a kind of developmental and formative evaluation, which requires teachers to pay attention to the starting point, process, change and result of students' development at the same time, so as to promote students' improvement and progress. This study first describes the connotation of value-added evaluation of students' academic development: paying attention to students' vertical development and progress, and paying attention to the improvement of students' comprehensive quality. It puts forward the important value of value-added evaluation to promote the all-round development of students.
