The Status and Development Pathways of Digital Resource Libraries in Community Education in China

Abstract
The construction of digital resource libraries in community education in China is an essential initiative to promote educational equity and lifelong learning. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the status of these digital resource libraries and explore future development pathways. Utilizing literature review methodology, the study systematically examines the definition, functions, status, and future directions of community education digital resource libraries based on relevant academic literature and policy documents. Findings indicate that while the construction of digital resource libraries in community education in China has made initial progress, challenges remain in resource sharing, ease of use, and resource diversity. The study explores international best practices and proposes pathways for optimization, including strengthening policy support and top-level design, promoting diverse cooperative construction, improving resource management and evaluation mechanisms, and enhancing user participation and satisfaction. The conclusion emphasizes that under policy guidance, continuous technological innovation and multi-stakeholder collaboration are needed to improve resource utilization efficiency and achieve equitable and high-quality resource sharing, thereby supporting lifelong learning for all.
